We want everyone to be able to use this website. Here is what we have done and how to tell us about a problem.
Our approach
Many of our visitors are older adults, so we designed this website to be easy to read and use. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work.
What we have done
- Large, readable text with strong color contrast
- Pages that work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to content” link
- Headings, labels and landmarks that screen readers can follow
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Buttons and links large enough to tap comfortably
- A layout that adapts to phones, tablets and zoomed text
