Final Expense Insurance in Pennsylvania
Help comparing final expense, burial and whole life insurance for Pennsylvania residents, by phone from QRS Life Group in Atlanta, Georgia.
Final expense coverage for Pennsylvania residents
Pennsylvania funds a network of county Area Agencies on Aging that is among the most developed in the country, so Pennsylvanians planning for end-of-life costs have good local help close at hand. What those agencies do not do is sell insurance, and that is where we come in.
We help residents of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and every county in between compare final expense, burial and whole life policies by phone, with the cost, the waiting period and the fine print explained before you apply.
Our office is in Atlanta, Georgia, and we work with Pennsylvania families by phone and email. There is no local branch to visit, and there is no need for one: every step, from the first conversation to the application, is handled remotely.
How life insurance is regulated in Pennsylvania
Life insurance sold in Pennsylvania is overseen by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, 1-877-881-6388. The department reviews the policies insurers may sell in the state, licenses the people who sell them and handles consumer complaints.
In Pennsylvania the refund provision printed in your policy sets how long you have to return it. A policy that replaces an existing one gives you the right to an unconditional refund within 20 days of delivery under the state’s replacement regulation (31 Pa. Code section 81.6). Check the front page of your policy for the period that applies.
Cities we serve in Pennsylvania
We have written a page for each of these Pennsylvania cities with the local offices families need when a death happens: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh. Residents of other Pennsylvania towns are just as welcome to call.
What Pennsylvania families usually ask us
- How much do I need? Ask funeral homes near you for their General Price List and add the bills you expect to leave. Our guide to working out a coverage amount walks through the steps.
- Who receives the money? The beneficiary you name, in cash. They can use it for the funeral, medical bills or anything else. See naming a beneficiary and how a claim works.
- Can I qualify with my health history? Often yes. Depending on your answers to a few health questions you may be offered full coverage from the first day, a policy with a waiting period, or a guaranteed issue policy that asks no health questions.
